The stunning landscape of the South of France has been a popular backdrop for many iconic movies, due to its unique natural formation where the snow-capped Alpine mountains overlook the dazzling sun, sand and sea of the French Riviera creating its breath taking scenery.

It is not just the magnificent views that have made the big screen but also the Luxurious properties that line the Golden Coast such as Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in Cap d’Antibes and the Carlton in Cannes, as well as some of the world’s most prestigious villas.

One of the most popular and iconic movies to be filmed on the Cote d’Azur was ‘And God Created Woman’ staring Brigitte Bardot this movie put St Tropez on the map as a glamourous youthful beach destination. People still travel to St Tropez in search of this amazing experience where one can view the rich and famous relaxing and sipping champagne on the fabulous yachts.

Perhaps one of the most memorable films set in Cannes is ‘To Catch a Thief’ showcasing some of the most beautiful towns and villages across the Riviera the movie encouraged glamour and sophistication in the Cote d’Azur.
